Frisk mamma is a strength class that is adapted to you who have given birth and want to get started with training and physical activity in a safe way after giving birth. Throughout the class, you will receive close follow-up and guidance from a physiotherapist, and it will always be possible to adapt the exercises to individual requirements.
The focus is particularly on creating and maintaining contact with abdominal and pelvic muscles, as well as strength and stability in the hip to prepare the body for everyday activities and exercise. We carry out strength exercises for the large muscle groups and the whole body.
You and the baby are welcome to swim/bath before or after the lesson.
Synnøve Tennfjord is a qualified physiotherapist at Høgskulen på Vestlandet from 2022. In addition, she has taken the part-time course "Training and cancer" at the Norwegian Sports Academy in Oslo. She is therefore a certified Active instructor and can give qualified advice and guide patients on exercise after undergoing cancer treatment.
Synnøve has a lot of experience from rehabilitation for adults/elderly people, and with that has seen how important regular physical activity and exercise is to maintain or improve physical function. She has been involved in strength training herself for several years, and has a great interest in the field.
