Physio Pilates is a class that is adapted to people with pain and musculoskeletal problems. The class focuses on calm and gentle exercises that activate the deep stabilizing muscles, combined with relaxation techniques. The training takes place at a leisurely pace using your own body weight. This is a gentle form of training where strength, flexibility, motor control, stability and breathing are the focus.

Throughout the class we work systematically and carefully with the body's joints and muscles. The session is well suited for those who have no previous experience with physio/Pilates training or who need a calmer form of training. It is also suitable for those with back, neck/shoulder problems, or other musculoskeletal challenges, as well as those who are overweight.

This is a calm and comfortable form of exercise that focuses on core strength, balance and body control. The goal is to strengthen the core, reduce muscle tension and achieve better balance.

The course includes exercises in standing, sitting and lying positions. The training takes place in a small, fixed group of maximum 6 participants and the class is conducted without music.

You are welcome to swim/bath before or after the class. The class is led by a physiotherapist with further training in Physio-Pilates. You are warmly welcome!

Marita

Marita Lund-Fridell

Marita is a trained physiotherapist and has three children. She has worked at AdO arena since 2015, where she is currently the head of Courses and Education and the reception, in addition to her job as a children's physiotherapist.
She has always enjoyed being in the wet element and in 2003 she was trained as a baby swimming instructor.
From 2003-2006 she was a physiotherapist for the Bergensvømmerne and the national swimming team.
