Dear guests,
We have all been living through extraordinary times recently. We at AdO arena had never been closed for more than two days before, now we've been closed for two months.
We have regretfully had to furlough all our talented instructors. Our other members of staff have been cleaning, carrying out maintenance and planning future activities. We are more than ready to reopen!
Information for athletes and sports clubs:
We will be reopening for organised training from Monday 1st June.
Your club will inform you of your new training schedule.
We are only allowed a maximum of 50 people in the arena at a time and only 20 per group and guests must always maintain 1 metre social-distancing.
You will notice significant differences when you next visit AdO arena: We are currently not allowed to use the normal changing rooms or showers and there will be new measures in place on your way in and out to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.
There may be further measures in place in the areas of the building we share with Amalie Skram High School now that they have reopened. They can have around 600 people in the building at any given time so we will be closely coordinating with them to ensure everyone's safety.
Happily, one thing that hasn't changed is the water and we can't wait to see you all in action again. Chlorinated water is completely safe and, according to the Institute of Public Health (FHI), kills both bacteria and viruses.
Information for the general public:
We will be reopening from Monday 15th June.
We will be open for members of the public everyday between 10:00-18:00. Sports clubs will only train in the arena outside these hours.
Information for members will annual passes:
Members with annual passes can choose whether they wish to reactive their membership from 15th June. Note that the restrictions described above will apply.
If you wish to wait until we are back to a more normal situation you can of course do so. We will, of course, be extra flexible this year.
