The course is led by a physiotherapist and the classes include safe, simple and effective exercises for light strength and mobility. There is extra focus on the back, pelvis and pelvic floor, as well as relaxation exercises that can contribute to increased well-being and reduced tension in the body. Some of the exercises also aim to reduce any joint problems that may occur in connection with pregnancy.
The exercises are individually adapted, regardless of your starting point, physical fitness or any ailments. The goal is to give you increased confidence in exercising during pregnancy, better body awareness and tools that you can take with you throughout your pregnancy.
The general advice from the Norwegian Directorate of Health is that healthy pregnant women should perform moderate-intensity cardio and strength training for a total of at least 150 min/week.

Eli Anne Dvergsdal, licensed physiotherapist, graduated from Bergen University College in 2013. She has gained experience with training and physical activity, as well as experience with women's health and follow-up in different phases of life through work with maternity education in hospitals and follow-up of children in the municipal health service.
Since 2016, Eli Anne has been the main responsible for Aquarun at Ado Arena, and has held Aquarun courses and seminars in parallel with, among other things, work as a basic coach at Olympiatoppen, physiotherapist at a psychiatric hospital, leader of various courses in skiing and running, and her own international sports venture as a long-distance runner.
Eli Anne is currently pregnant herself, which gives her an extra understanding of the body's changes during pregnancy. With professional competence and her own experience, she will lead the session in a safe, individual and caring way, with a focus on adaptation and coping for each individual participant.
