Organisation and Executive team

AdO arena, Nordnes Sjøbad and Sandviken Sjøbad (Elsesro) are run by AdO arena Drift AS which is wholly owned by Bergen's local authority and reports to the council members responsible for kindergardens, schools and sports (BBSI)

Board of Directors

The company's board is led by Bjard Nygaard. Other members are Elin Austevoll and Jan Erik Johannessen who represents the staff.

AdO's prices and pricing structure are set by the city council, while the day to day running, development and event hosting are the responsibility of the company's executive team.

Executive Team

• The managing director is Håkon A. Egeberg Johansen.
• Morten Urdal is head of marketing and sales.
• The acting head of courses and education is Lise Heggøy.
• The head of reception and retail is Marita Lund-Fridell
• Niklas Hodneland is head of finances, HR and project management.
• The head of the technical department is Jan Erik Johannessen.

AdO arena Drift AS who run AdO arena, Nordnes Sjøbad and Sandviken Sjøbad (Elsesro) has roughly 130 employees, equivalent to 45 full time positions. It has a department for the day to day running of the facilities made up of team leaders and lifeguards. It has a department for courses with instructors, personal trainers and receptionists. There is also a technical department made up of technicians responsible for maintenance and equipment.
