The class combines Fysio Pilates and gyrokinesis which, among other things, contains three-dimensional, rhythmic, circular and fluid movements. The exercises are similar to swimming, dancing, yoga, martial arts and tai chi. The focus is on the spine, but the whole body is always active.
This methods allows us to work our way gently and systematically through all your joins and muscles with rhythmic, fluid exercises. These movements are designed to stimulate your internal organs and include breathing exercises. We keep moving, not stopping for long in any one position to avoid straining any one joint or muscle. Instead we combine movement and breathing into something that has more in common with dance than traditional yoga.
Gyrokinesis can be performed at different levels of intensity but all our courses include exercises where you are sitting, laying down and standing. The more advanced lessons in this course also include stamina training for those used to more exertion.
The exercises you'll learn require nothing more than a chair and a mat so you can keep practising them at home or at work whenever you feel the need to loosen up.
You are welcome to stay and swim before or after each lesson.
