We at AdO arena are very happy to once again be able to offer the popular training form SUP Strength! 

Together with the instructor, we alternate between various basic and strength exercises on a stable SUP platform in the pool. We have room for some play and fun too!

Here you get to activate your core muscles in a unique way, as the water responds to every movement you make. On the SUP, we continuously work with the stabilizing muscles - not only the core muscles, but also the supporting muscles in the wrists, ankles and around the pelvis.

It challenges stability in a completely different way, which gives the opportunity to discover and gain control over the small muscles in the body that we don't normally use in daily tasks. So here you get to train your whole body, from head to toe!

The training session itself has a duration of 50 minutes, but there is some time before and after to get ready with the board. We recommend showing up 5-10 minutes before the start.

The course is suitable for all levels. The instructor adapts the exercises to the participants in the course, so that everyone gets the most out of the lesson.
The course takes place in the diving pool so you must be able to swim and be comfortable in deep water (5m.)

You wear swimwear or training clothes that can get wet (because you will).

Pia

Pia Øvstedal

26 years old from Bergen. Physiotherapist with education from the college in Vestlandet. She has worked as a group instructor at a fitness center with various group classes such as circuit training, Tabata, strength-endurance, relaxation and stretching. She herself likes to be physically active and has tried various sports such as swimming, climbing, CrossFit, yoga and karate. SUP strength gives you the opportunity to train balance, strength and coordination at the same time. In addition, it's fun so you almost forget you're exercising.
